Reverend Mrs Kripa Devi, wife to Late Shri. Raghunath Prasad ji, came of a wealthy family known as Patharwalla, being issuless, she earnestly desired to open a school for girls with her husband hard-earned 30,000 silver coins which she donated for the noble cause. It was a giant step at that time in the direction of women education. Thus with her noble aspiration the college came into being on 27-02-1929. A trust named after the noble-soul, with 9 trustees including a president, a secretary, deputy secretary who were to be elected unanimously, also come into being. Money had no sole to play in their any of the trustees tenders resignation or passes anyway, the rest of the trustees have the right to nominate a gentleman to fill the seat lying this vacant. A part from it, the trust has members who are appointed for life the life-membership fee being Rs 10,000/- while fee for the founders and patrous is Rs 20,000/-.
